The GIPSY KING'S FAMILY with their musical and cultural heritage, have generated a sound that goes one step further from that originally created with huge success, by the Gipsy Kings, who stormed worldwide charts with their irresistible Latin - flamenco - rumba rhythms.
The GIPSY KING'S FAMILY music, which the describe as “rumba - flamenco - pop”, is gaining continuous success all over the world!
The Gipsy Kings and GIPSY KING'S FAMILY the are largely responsible for bringing the joyful sounds of progressive flamenco - pop to the world.
The band's vigorous guitar work and passionate vocals are the trademarks of an indigenous musical tradition known as rumba flamenca. The rumba which originated in Africa - travelled from Zaire via the slave trade to Cuba and the New World, then back to Barcelona, where it was adopted by the gipsies.
Original, passionate and explosive with their mixture of hot rhythms and exotic gipsy duende, the GIPSY KING'S FAMILY continue to
enrich the fl amenco rumba, originally created by their uncles, José Reyes, Manitas De Plata. Their particular style reveals the influence of Paco de Lucia's nuevo flamenco,
as well as singers Cameron de la Isla and Manolo Caracol.
